Hello all. I found this place after deleting my beauty app rabbit holes for the third time. I am 47, combination skin that has tipped toward dry in the last couple years, and I have owned probably forty products at once at my worst. I am trying to get down to a routine I actually understand: gentle cleanser, vitamin C in the AM, retinol a few nights a week, moisturizer, SPF. That is it. Part of me is nervous I am under-doing it after years of ten-step everything, but honestly my skin looked its worst when I was doing the most. Is anyone else here a recovering over-router? What did letting go of the extra steps do for you? I would love to hear from people who pared down and did not regret it. Nice to meet you all, this already feels calmer than where I came from.
